A Panchayat is a body of elected representatives responsible for managing the administrative affairs of Panchayati Raj Institutions. In the case of a Grama Panchayat, it is the primary committee that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and carries out day-to-day administration.The key components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. The President chairs the meetings and oversees the overall activities of the Panchayat.Vice President: Performs the duties of the President in their absence.Ward Members: Elected representatives from each ward of the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Formed to streamline the decision-making process of the Panchayat for matters like finance, development, welfare, health, and education.
