 Launch and Debut of 'Arpookara Chundan'

After long anticipation and strenuous efforts by boat race enthusiasts, the new snake boat, ‘Arpookara Chundan’, is set to be launched into the Meenachil River on August 2 at 12:00 PM. Constructed under the supervision of the Arpookara Chundan Vallam Samithi, the project was completed at an estimated cost of over ₹70 lakh.

    • Helmsmen (Amarakkar): 5

    • Rhythm Keepers (Thalakar): 9

  • Rowing Club: The Kumarakom Emmanuel Boat Club will row the boat during its maiden race.
