Here is the report on the project implementation and fund utilization of the Arpookara Grama Panchayat for the 2014–15 financial year:

1. Agriculture and Allied Sectors

  • Paddy Cultivation: A total of ₹39,44,555 was allocated for comprehensive paddy cultivation development, out of which ₹19,53,850 was utilized.
  • Banana Farming: Out of the allocated fund of ₹4,00,000, an amount of ₹3,670 was spent.
  • Other Initiatives: An amount of ₹8,750 was spent on purchasing coconut-climbing machines against an allocation of ₹2,08,000.

2. Dairy Development and Animal Husbandry

  • Milk Production: Out of ₹12,50,000 budgeted for cattle management and milk production, ₹3,12,500 was utilized.
  • Goat and Poultry Rearing: ₹1,68,000 was spent from the allocated ₹3,84,000 for purchasing goats. The poultry distribution project allocated ₹2,02,000, but no funds were utilized.
  • Other Programs: Other initiatives included cattle shed construction and stray dog sterilization programs.

3. Healthcare and Palliative Care

  • Palliative Care: For bedridden patient care and pain & palliative care services, ₹3,71,976 was utilized out of the allocated ₹3,98,674.
  • Epidemic Control: Out of ₹1,50,000 allocated for disease prevention activities, ₹99,456 was spent.

4. Housing Development

  • House Renovation: Out of the ₹40,00,000 earmarked for house renovation, ₹28,75,000 was effectively utilized.
  • Upgradation: Projects such as the construction of Aashwasa Bhavan (fully utilizing its ₹5,00,000 budget), well construction, and latrine construction were implemented.

5. Women & Child Development and Social Welfare

  • Anganwadis: Out of ₹19,55,500 allocated for supplementary nutrition for Anganwadi children, ₹16,87,871 was utilized.
  • Disability Welfare: The entire budget of ₹6,00,000 allocated as educational aid for children with physical and mental challenges was fully spent.
  • Facilities: Funds were also spent on paying rent for Anganwadi buildings and purchasing furniture.

6. Infrastructure and Road Development

  • Significant funds were allocated and executed for road tarring and concreting across various wards, maintenance of solar/street lights, canal desilting, market improvement, and drinking water scheme maintenance.
